Our goal at Bright & Smart is to teach kids basic Engineering and Computer Programming Skills and facilitate the development of 21st Century Learning Skills, such as; Information & Media Literacy, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, and Interpersonal & Collaborative Skills.
Each week is packed with projects based on PASSION, in COLLABORATION with PEERS, and in a PLAYFUL spirit.
Hands-on MEMORABLE, MEANINGFUL, and MOTIVATING activities, specially designed for girls and boys, 7 to 12 years old.

Camp Details
Weekly sessions:

Full-Day 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (EST)
Half-Day 10:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
​
Early arrival starts at 9:45 am (EST)
Late dismissal ends at 3:15 pm (EST)
Your child will:
-
Participate in a split day camp with other children his/her own age group (7-9 or 10-12) doing coding/engineering activities in the morning and robotics/engineering challenges in the afternoon.
-
Enjoy, every day, 3 hours of personalized project-based instruction plus 1 hour of interest-based projects.
-
Learn to design, create, and program (code) their own interactive stories, games, and animations.
-
Learn to build and program robots using a special open-source microcontroller platform (7-9 or 10-12)
-
Learn 3D design, engineering drones, and coding apps (10-12), using a curriculum developed especially for them.

Work with small groups where there is at least one adult instructor for every 5 children.

Be presented each day with new and exciting ENGINEERING challenges.

Blue Ocean Missions
So, you can get a running start.
If your child is creative and inquisitive and wants to be tech-savvy? Then this will be an exciting camp for him or her! Campers work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment; coding and engineering secret oceanic missions for their robots.
Through this program, campers will explore STEM topics according to their age, make friends who share their passion, and create robots from day one.

3D Missions & Robotics
Like making? designing? creating? This is for you!
Building a robot is fun, but creating unique parts for it id even better! Using a 3D printer along with a particular set of Lego bricks and a curriculum designed uniquely for them, campers will challenge their imaginations by creating and printing 3D objects that will be added to their machines. With the help of their team members, they will need to be creative and persistent in making one of a kind add-ons for their robots. Campers will receive at home all designs that were printed during the week.

Ready to take a robot from the ground to the sky?
Soar to coding excellence with your very own drone!
Does your child like to explore their environment and love technology and coding? Then this will be an exciting camp for them! Campers will put together a drone, learn the physics behind them, and apply their coding abilities to fly them through exciting obstacle courses.
